About Me

I am a computer science graduate student at the University Of Missouri Kansas City. I am a passionate Data Scientist with strong background in math and data mining algorithms.


I have worked on projects around predicting users preferences using machine learning and visual signal processing , analyzing tweets around specific hastags using big data frameworks such as Hadoop and PySpark . I also have experience in web development Travel Explorer, which is designed to be an itinerary planner for people who go to a new city using MEAN stack.


Prior to joining master's program, I worked for 3 years as Senior Software Developer at Kony India Pvt Ltd. I also enjoy developing applications for Windows Phone 8/8.1, tablet, Desktop/Kiosk and for Windows 10 Universal Platform using Visual Studio and Kony IDE.

  • Working on Cernly Project a URL shortening tool using React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL.

  • Worked on the Kendo objects for making the charts from it.
  • Extracted the data with the help of MySQL queries into JSON files.
  • Created custom visualizations formats like Ring chart, Funnel Chart and Tree Chart using SVG.

    Senior Software Developer

  • Experience in development of Windows Phone 8/8.1 Applications, Windows 8/8.1 tablet Applications,Desktop/Kiosk Applications and on Windows 10 Universal Windows Platform using Visual Studio andKony IDE.
  • Exposure to Automation Tools such as CodedUI. Developed a testing framework which was integrated with the existing Windows Framework. The testing framework was used to develop regression suites.The regression suites helped in reducing regressions and improved the product quality.
  • Developed a feature ‘Network Simulation’. During the duration of developing applications, it was not feasible for the client server to be available all the time. To overcome this, we simulated all the network calls and used the simulation for developing and testing applications.
  • Exposed non-native events on scroll-able Widgets. iOS supports scrolling events natively.However, these events are not available on Windows. Exposed events on Windows Mobile.
  • Support Customers facing any issues with the existing product. Analyze the issue, provide ETA and track it till QA. Exposure to Performance Tools such as PerfView for analyzing performance and memory issues.

  • Worked on P2P connections in Networking, Implementation of the File system in ‘c’and Implemented the Facebook application in c language.

  • Built an Offline Facebook Application using node.js which essentially helps user logged-in onto Facebook to view or modify the existing data regarding news feed and its respective comments.

    Data analytics visualization on Twitter data

    Collected tweets focusing on Cricket using twitter streaming API. Developed and Implemented 10 analytical queries to explore the data using Spark SQL. Visualization of the results using Zeppelin tool and with the help of Matplotlib.

    Evaluation of Visual Features in an Image at Predicting User Likes

    Worked on Data Mining Algorithm i.e. Support Vector machine and Extraction of features like HOG, LBP, GIST, COLOR on images. The outputs obtained from the algorithms, Behavioral patterns are derived from which we can arrive to a conclusion about what kind of images a user likes. Results can be used in several applications which provide optimized search results of images to user.

    Travel Explorer Web Application

    Developed a Website having a robust algorithm which will come up with a proper travel plan based on the shortest path that is within budget , interest and duration of by user.
